About the club
Our story
Ljubljana Fencing Club brings épée fencing to children, young people and adults in Ljubljana. In autumn 2013 we opened our own fencing hall at Tržaška 132 – the official opening took place on 11 October 2013, with a fencing bout, an exhibition of épées and photographs, and many friends of the club.
On 28 January 2014 the club was admitted to the Slovenian Fencing Federation, the umbrella organisation for fencing in Slovenia, which is a member of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia, the International Fencing Federation (FIE) and the European Fencing Confederation (EFC).
Tournaments and the club league
In April 2014 we organised the 1st Ljubljana Tournament together with SD Gladio, and the tournament has since become a tradition – the 4th edition in 2017 counted towards the Slovenian national ranking. In the 2017/2018 season we launched a club league: a series of training competitions in which young fencers from several Slovenian clubs gain their first competition experience. Results and photos are in the archive.
