In short: we had a great time!
In more detail: we had a really great time.
On Saturday, 22 December 2018, we met in our sports hall for the last time in 2018 and started with some league fencing – first the children D and B fenced, refereed by none other than Jon Ba. and Devi! Then the older fencers – children B and cadets – competed. Young Brin Ba. proved to be the best scorekeeper at SK Ljubljana. Besides SK Ljubljana fencers, Filip Perko (SS Nova Gorica), Lucija Vanček (SK Branik) and Marko Čubrić (Inter Zagreb) also competed.
After the bouts, we were joined by parents, cousins, grandmothers, lazy fencers (those who could have competed but didn't) and old fencers (those we don't (yet?) organise a league for).
We had a bite to eat, as everyone brought lots of treats, the children found small presents from Father Christmas under the tree, and then we had some fun.
