The competition was held in senior men's and women's épée. Eva competed among the senior women and won 4 bouts in the pool round. In the direct eliminations she beat a Romanian fencer 15:13 and then lost to the Mexican fencer who eventually finished second, placing 8th and earning 1 point for the world ranking.
